IT Project Manager (Defence experience - SC Cleared)

On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a IT Project Manager (Defence experience - SC Cleared) for a 12 Months contract based in Bristol.

Purpose of the role:

As IT Project Manager with experience in Defence you will work as part of the Service Architecture and Transition Team that sits within Group IT and Digital.

Work collaboratively with the Head of Programme, and other Programme/Project Managers, Business Analysts, Business Stakeholders, IT vendors and the Solution Architects to ensure successful project delivery activities for cost, schedule, scope and benefits.

• Ensuring the Defence Service Programme Lead and, where appropriate, other stakeholders are up to date with project progress on a regular 121 basis and through structured comms.
• Working with Project Managers and the PMO to ensure their project deliverables are in line with the overall programme delivery schedule for Service.
• Be the Service interface to the Defence Service Programme Lead, Defence organisation and Group IT and Digital.
• Analyse project service requirements determining the service and operational objectives and maintain alignment to the Group IT and Digital Operating Model and strategy.
• Plan service and operational activities within the development life cycle, estimating costs and duration, any impacts upon project execution, and identifying training needs.
• Be responsible for Cost / Quality / Delay of service and operational activities and deliverables, including.
• Working with key vendors to deliver a ServiceNow platform to operate within or across differing security classifications to deliver an operational (Service Operations) capability.

The skills you'll need:

• Experience working in Defence projects.
• SC Clearance (or eiligibility)
• Vendor management and procurement expertise.
• Requires a dynamic and autonomous leader with strong communication and project management skills.
• Knowledge of main ITSM and Operational standards and frameworks such as ITIL V3 and V4, IT4IT
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and how this works across Service Management and Operations.
