My client is one of the UKs leading manufacturers within its field of metal based forgings. The company is a well established with over 100 years experience; they are producer to a wide variety of markets, having 3 plants in the UK, with 1000 employees. The Dronfield site is looking once again to expand due to further investment, within this globally secure organisation.

Apprentice Trained Engineer in Electrical Engineering

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies, working on several fast moving lines, driven by PLC automated machinery. The ideal candidate will come from a medium to heavy engineering background, but this is by no means a necessity and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer with an electrical bias, (but multi-skilled) and have PLC experience. On a day to day basis you will be involved in the maintenance of vacuum pump furnaces and steel forming machinery, general mechanical work on pneumatics, hydraulics, gearboxes other manufacturing heavy machinery. There is a huge amount of training on offer so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
