We are seeking Field Service Technicians to join a talented Engineering Division supporting the range of suppliers represented:

  • Further Processing - Cooking &amp; Cooling, Clipping &amp; Curing, Stuffing &amp; Filling plus Preparation Equipment
  • Slicing Equipment - Meat, Poultry, Cheese
  • Inspection Equipment - Metal Detection, Check Weighing, X-ray, Grading Systems

The Role:

This is a customer-focused high-level service technician role within the food manufacturing sector. This position would suit an engineer who is looking to develop a long-term career within a growing business, with opportunities to progress and build technical knowledge, customer relationships and specialist equipment expertise. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality service support to customers across UK and Ireland, with very occasional international travel for training. Candidates will need to be technically strong, commercially aware, flexible, and committed to delivering first-class customer service.

  • Installation, Commissioning &amp; Technical Delivery
  • Servicing, Maintenance &amp; Optimisation
  • Breakdown Support, Fault Finding &amp; Technical Problem Solving
  • Customer Support, Relationships &amp; Service Excellence
  • Reporting, Documentation &amp; Administration
  • Safety, Compliance &amp; Professional Standards - Home based with Travel to Customer Sites, working independently for much of the role while remaining closely connected with the wider service, technical, spares and sales teams. Flexible to stay away from home as required (not excessive) and some weekend work is also required (excellent rates offered).

Qualifications:

  • Apprentice trained or time-served (and confident) in a relevant Electrical, Mechanical or Multi-skilled Engineering disciplines.
  • Strong Electrical and Mechanical fault-finding skills, ideally with an electrical bias.
  • Understand pneumatic and electrical control systems.
  • Have experience working on production machinery, automated equipment or technical systems.
  • Experience of Processing, Packaging, Slicing or End of Line Inspection systems.
  • Confident diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and following technical issues through to conclusion.
  • Ideally have previous field service experience, although strong site-based maintenance engineers will also be considered.
  • Experience in food manufacturing, food processing or packaging machinery.
