Position Summary
The Production Supervisor oversees the assembly operation to guarantee that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflows. Team building and maintaining a professional attitude is of upmost importance. This position will directly supervise all assembly room personnel and will include addressing personnel issues, addressing policy violations as well as approving PTO and timecards. Attendance to a variety of management meetings is required. The goal is to ensure that we consistently deliver products of maximum quality, and in a timely manner.

Essential Job Functions
- Line Balancing & Setup: Design, set up, and optimize small build areas; dynamically balance the assembly line to maintain optimal production flow
- Assembly Operations: Read and comprehend instructions, select/modify components according to measurements, and align parts to build complex units
- Tool Fluency: Expertly use hand tools to assemble components (screwdrivers, pliers, wire-cutters, glue guns, etc.)
- Quality Control: Check output, verify that all components within the sign or related products are assembled correctly in perfect alignment, report on defective parts, and maintain equipment
- Workflow & Production Planning: Maintain workflow by monitoring the process and personnel, studying methods, implementing cost reductions, scheduling personnel, and defining daily targets
- Material Coordination: Ensure that the quantity and quality of all signage components are available for assemblers
- Team Leadership: Address personnel questions, resolve personnel problems by analyzing data, and manage a spirit of cooperation
- Reporting & KPI Tracking: Keep records of production, report malfunctions, and document data in systems to track company KPIs
- Safety & Security: Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating personnel on equipment use and secure the plant at the end of the shift
- Attendance: Routine and regular attendance at the expected location
- Special Projects: As assigned
- Secure Plant: At end of shift
- Supplemental Duties: Participate in the Safety Committee and handle all other assigned duties or special projects
Required Knowledge
- Principles and processes for providing customer and personnel services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
- Principles and procedures for selection and training
- Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
- Principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation, labor relations, and personnel information systems
- Administrative and office procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and workplace terminology
- Electronic equipment/components, and computer software, including applications
- Practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production
- Production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of signage
- Structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar

Experience
- 3-5 years of manufacturing or production experience with continued increase responsibility
- Assembly Line Management: Demonstrated experience balancing an assembly line to optimize efficiency and minimize bottlenecks.
- Workspace Optimization: Proven experience setting up and organizing small build areas for lean manufacturing workflows.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Associate’s degree (Preferred)

- Technical Fluency: Fluency in using hand tools and executing small assembly tasks with precision.
