Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Workday Consultant with 1–3 years of experience to support the configuration, enhancement, testing, and ongoing administration of Workday solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Workday HCM, Business Process Framework, reporting, security, and EIBs.

The consultant will work closely with HR, Payroll, IT, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, support Workday enhancements, and ensure effective use of the Workday platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support configuration and maintenance of Workday HCM functionality.
  • Assist with Core HCM, Staffing, Organizations, Job Profiles, Positions, and Hire-to-Retire processes.
  • Configure and maintain Workday Business Processes, including approvals, condition rules, validations, and notifications.
  • Support Workday security configuration, including domains, security groups, and role-based access.
  • Create and maintain Workday reports, custom reports, calculated fields, and dashboards.
  • Support inbound and outbound data loads using EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder).
  • Assist with Workday integrations and troubleshoot integration-related issues.
  • Participate in unit testing, system testing, UAT, and defect resolution.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into Workday configuration solutions.
  • Provide production support and investigate Workday tickets and user issues.
  • Perform data validation and assist with data conversion and migration activities.
  • Prepare configuration documents, test scripts, process documentation, and user guides.
  • Support Workday releases, enhancements, and regression testing.
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Workday best practices and standard functionality.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of hands-on Workday experience in implementation, configuration, consulting, or production support.
  • Working knowledge of Workday Core HCM.
  • Experience with Workday Business Process Framework.
  • Understanding of Workday reporting and calculated fields.
  • Exposure to EIBs and Workday data loads.
  • Basic understanding of Workday security and role-based access.
  • Knowledge of HR business processes such as Hiring, Onboarding, Job Changes, Transfers, and Terminations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Workday HCM Certification or relevant Workday training.
  • Experience with Advanced, Matrix, Composite, or custom reports.
  • Exposure to Workday Integrations, Core Connectors, or Workday Studio.
  • Basic knowledge of XML, XSLT, REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Experience with Workday Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, or Time Tracking.
  • Experience supporting US-based HR processes.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with Workday release management and regression testing.
