Job Description
At the heart of everything we do is our vision to change lives every day, and our mission to grow The National Lottery responsibly and champion its impact.
We are Allwyn UK, part of the Allwyn Entertainment Group – a multi-national lottery operator with a market-leading presence across the USA (Michigan and Illinois) and Europe, including Czech Republic, Austria, Greece, Cyprus and Italy.
While the main contribution of The National Lottery to society is through the funds to good causes, at Allwyn we put our purpose and values at the heart of everything we do. Join us as we embark on a once-in-a-lifetime, largescale transformation journey by creating a National Lottery that delivers more money to good causes.
We’ll talk a bit more about us further down the page, but for now – let’s talk about the role and who we’re looking for…
A bit about the role
Retail is the heart of The National Lottery, delivering sales of circa. £3.7Bn per year and Returns To Good Causes of £30m per week. Driving commercial relationships in our 43,500 retail outlets is a critical and essential part of our success.
The Retail Estate Team (RET) is a specialised department within Retail, leading the Retail lifecycle within Allwyn from the 1st contact after applying to sell The National Lottery through to cancellation and removals. Including both Multiples and Independents, supporting the Responsible Retailing test purchase program and other projects, the team typically directly influences around 3000 stores which are worth over £100m annually.
The RET covers the UK across 13 territories managed across 2 regions, delivering the annual terminal strategy through multi-level acts within our retail estate, including some Mini Mult account management to drive sales and deliver for Good Causes.
The RET supports the wider business strategic pillars, working with colleagues cross functionally to deliver excellence in the field. All activities are developed and delivered in a socially-responsible manner that meets the values of the National Lottery and are aligned with National Lottery stakeholders
