Engineering Technician
Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Role Overview
This organization is seeking a Manufacturing Electrical Engineering Technician for a critical role. The position supports custom manufacturing test and validation equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, hands-on repair experience, and a willingness to work with both legacy and custom-built equipment. The role requires a proactive, creative, and confident individual who is comfortable suggesting and implementing new ideas.
Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and resolve issues with manufacturing, validation, and testing equipment.
• Provide electronic technical support in manufacturing assembly processes to maintain production, product enhancements, and product development support.
• Engage in routine preventative maintenance and upkeep of various implementations of production equipment and workstations
• Assist with the development and sustainment of new workstations and production areas
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concept models.
• Assist with the fabrication and assembly of new manufacturing equipment, tooling, and cables/harnesses.
• Initiate improvements within current processes to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
• Identify gaps in process documentation and generate work instructions and safety analyses.
• Engage in routine preventative maintenance and upkeep of production equipment and workstations.
• Interact with Area Administrators, Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Design Engineers.

Required Qualifications
Education: AAS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related technical field is preferred. A strong track record of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience: Ideally a minimum of 3 years of experience is preferred. Candidates with less years of experience will be considered.
Technical Skills:

• Proficient in component-level troubleshooting, repair, and installation
• Demonstrated electrical and mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting/testing.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as DMM, oscilloscope, soldering iron, and multi-meter.
• Ability to understand and interpret electrical schematics and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with 3D printing, electrical design, or harnessing.
• Knowledge of electrical hazards, codes, and safety compliance (NEC, UL, CSA, NFPA).
• CAD experience (mechanical or electrical).
• Experience working with a Quality Department to perform test equipment calibration or verification.
