Senior Director, Commercial Finance
Hybrid, South West of Boston
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
12+ years of progressive corporate finance experience with deep expertise in commercial finance, pricing governance, and top-line strategic planning. Proven track record as a strategic finance business partner, capable of extracting key narratives from complex data to "tell the story" to executive leadership and commercial teams. Demonstrated experience leading, managing, and mentoring a direct and indirect team.
Hands-on proficiency with complex financial modeling (product forecasts, P&L analysis, NPV models) and enterprise tools such as Excel, Oracle, Salesforce, or Power BI. Strong executive-level communication skills with a collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves approach to driving commercial decision-making. Preferred
Advanced degree (MBA) or CPA certification. Experience operating within global manufacturing or industrial multi-plant environments. Background in customer/contract negotiations, formula-based pricing strategies, and R&D stage-gate financial modeling.
Diverse multi-company background with external perspectives on best-in-class financial processes and systems.
Position Summary
The Senior Director, Commercial Finance serves as a critical strategic partner at the intersection of commercial strategy, pricing, and overall enterprise business performance. Reporting directly to the CFO, this leader will collaborate closely with executive sales, marketing, operations, and product management leaders—specifically serving as a hands-on finance partner to the Chief Commercial Officer and Senior Director of Sales.
In this role, you will oversee a total team of four, providing the analytical rigor, narrative story-telling, and financial modeling needed to optimize revenue growth, margin expansion, and top-line execution.
Key responsibilities include leading global pricing governance and guidelines, driving annual revenue and sales incentive plan designs, co-leading R&D investment models, and delivering actionable financial insights to senior executives and the Board of Directors
