Job Title: Senior Network Engineer – Private Cloud / OpenStack

Introduction

This role is ideal for a Senior Network Engineer with expertise in enterprise networking and private cloud environments. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting PowerFlex Rack and Canonical OpenStack setups, collaborating closely with customer teams on network discovery, architecture, migration readiness, and hybrid cloud connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Discover and document existing enterprise network environments
• Capture VLANs, IP ranges, routing, MTU, and network isolation requirements
• Design and validate network architecture for Canonical OpenStack
• Support VMware-to-OpenStack migration network readiness
• Validate Azure-to-on-prem connectivity and migration requirements
• Work with customer teams to identify and resolve network readiness issues
• Validate physical cabling, switch connectivity, and rack-level network readiness

Requirements

Required Skills

• Enterprise network discovery, assessment, and documentation
• Strong knowledge of VLANs, IP addressing/ranges, routing, MTU, and network isolation
• Private cloud networking experience with Canonical OpenStack
• Experience with underlay/overlay network architecture
• Knowledge of management, storage, tenant, and data networks
• Network readiness experience for VMware to Canonical OpenStack migrations
• Experience validating L2/L3 connectivity, bandwidth, latency, and throughput
• Hybrid cloud networking experience with Azure and on-prem environments
• Experience validating secure connectivity, routing, and network performance for cloud migration
