Job Description

Job Title: Marketing Operations Specialist, Patient Engagement (Remote | Telehealth)

Location: Remote - United States

Employment Type: FT W2

Compensation: $35 per hour

CareTalk Health

CareTalk Health is a fully remote, nationwide virtual medical practice. We partner with Medicare Advantage plans to deliver Annual Wellness Visits and close care gaps, reaching members wherever they are. We believe virtual care isn't a compromise — it's care delivered the way patients actually want it. Our job is to make that experience simple, reliable, and human.

A significant portion of scheduled patients do not show for their appointments. We are building a dedicated team to determine why, to test outreach and engagement techniques intended to change it, and to measure what works. The objective of this team is to improve patient show rates.

About the Role

The Patient Engagement Analyst is responsible for the reporting and analysis that support the team’s work to improve patient show rates. This role builds and maintains show rate reporting, establishes consistent measurement definitions, analyzes patterns in missed appointments, and supports the analysis of tests.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain reporting on scheduled visits and show rates, segmented by provider, appointment type, patient demographics, scheduling lead time, and geography.

• Establish and maintain consistent definitions for show, no-show, cancellation, reschedule, and related outcomes, and ensure they are applied consistently across all reporting.

• Analyze appointment, outreach, and attendance data to identify patterns and contributing factors in missed visits.

• Develop and maintain dashboards for leadership and operational stakeholders.

• Produce data extracts, audience lists, and results tables in support of testing.

• Validate that test and control groups are balanced prior to launch, and support the analysis of test results.

• Monitor patient contact data quality and reachability across communication channels.

• Analyze patient response data, including inbound message content, to identify recurring themes.

• Document data sources, methodologies, and metric definitions.

• Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 2+ years of experience in an analytics role.

• Advanced SQL, including the ability to work with complex and imperfect operational data.

• Experience building and maintaining dashboards in a business intelligence tool such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

• Strong attention to detail and precision in defining and applying metrics.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage recurring reporting deadlines.

Preferred

Healthcare experience is a plus but is not required for this role.

• Experience in healthcare analytics, including provider, payer, or digital health settings.

• Familiarity with EHR or practice management data structures.

• Proficiency in Python or R.

• Experience supporting A/B testing or experiment analysis.

• Experience working with marketing or campaign performance data.

• Experience with text analysis or coding open-ended responses.
