Job Description

Job Title: Data Analyst III
Job at a Glance: We are seeking a Nielsen Data Analyst to provide dedicated ownership of Nielsen measurement, data quality, analytics, and automation. You’ll create and deliver actionable insights that influence strategy, business planning, competitive analysis, KPI development, and operational optimization. You’ll also serve as the team’s Nielsen methodology SME, partnering closely with product, engineering, data architecture, finance, and other business partners.
Location: 100% Remote
Pay Rate: $47/hr W2 + optional benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k)
Duration of Contract: Long term contract with extension/conversion possibility
Responsibilities:
  • Own end-to-end Nielsen measurement workstreams: methodology updates, impact assessments, and reporting enhancements.
  • Perform advanced analysis on very large datasets using multiple analytical techniques to influence KPIs and stakeholder outcomes.
  • Write and optimize advanced SQL queries across platforms (performance tuning and best practices expected).
  • Make sound decisions on data sources (source-of-truth) and document methodology clearly.
  • Execute data monitoring and validation (trend/outlier checks, inconsistency detection) and drive issue resolution.
  • Partner with data quality and architecture teams to shape requirements and ensure ingests/automations meet business goals.
  • Build high-quality deliverables: reports, charts, dashboards, and executive-ready presentations that clearly tell the “story” behind the data.
  • Translate technical methodology into clear business language; confidently present findings and respond to feedback.
  • Create and manage project plans; track work daily in JIRA and communicate progress/risks proactively.
Required Skills:
  • Nielsen methodology experience
  • SQL
  • Exposure to AWS, Databricks, Looker
