PCB Layout Engineer

Location: Menlo Park, CA (100% Onsite)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced PCB Layout Engineer to lead end-to-end PCB layout activities for complex, high-density server and compute platform designs. This opportunity is part of a large-scale engineering initiative supporting advanced hardware development across semiconductor, server, AI infrastructure, and high-performance computing environments.

Note: This is not a traditional PCB design role. Candidates must possess advanced high-speed PCB layout experience supporting server-class hardware, AI infrastructure, FPGA, and SoC-based platforms.
Responsibilities

• Own complete PCB layout design for high-density, high-speed hardware platforms.
• Collaborate with hardware, signal integrity, power integrity, and mechanical engineering teams.
• Develop PCB layouts for server, compute, AI, and data center hardware platforms.
• Apply industry best practices for high-speed routing, stack-up planning, and signal integrity.
• Support design reviews and manufacturing readiness activities.
• Ensure adherence to DFA, DFM, and DFT requirements throughout the design lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of PCB layout engineering experience.
• Expertise with Cadence Allegro 23.1 or later.
• Strong background in high-speed PCB layout and design.
• Experience with:
  • DDR5 / LPDDR5 memory interfaces
  • PCIe Gen5 and/or PCIe Gen6
  • HDI and microvia technologies
  • Complex SoC and FPGA-based hardware platforms
• Knowledge of:
  • Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
  • Design for Assembly (DFA)
  • Design for Test (DFT)

Minimum Qualifications

• Cadence Allegro PCB Designer experience.
• High-speed PCB design experience.
• DDR5 experience.
• PCIe Gen5 or PCIe Gen6 experience.
• HDI / Microvia design experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• FPGA platform design experience.
• AI infrastructure hardware experience.
• Data center hardware experience.
• Server motherboard or server board design experience.
