Job Overview
We are seeking a Principal Product Manager, Data to lead the strategy and delivery of enterprise data products and platform capabilities.
You will partner with business stakeholders, architects, data modelers, engineers, analytics, and governance teams to transform complex source data into trusted, scalable, and reusable products. You will define product vision and roadmaps, lead discovery, establish requirements, prioritize investments, and guide delivery through adoption.
The successful candidate must have sufficient technical depth to understand complex data, lead modeling and validation discussions, evaluate architectural trade-offs, and work effectively across the payment-processing lifecycle.

Estimated Pay Range: $145K to $155K base salary + benefits

Job Overview
We are seeking a Principal Product Manager, Data to lead the strategy and delivery of enterprise data products and platform capabilities.
You will partner with business stakeholders, architects, data modelers, engineers, analytics, and governance teams to transform complex source data into trusted, scalable, and reusable products. You will define product vision and roadmaps, lead discovery, establish requirements, prioritize investments, and guide delivery through adoption.
The successful candidate must have sufficient technical depth to understand complex data, lead modeling and validation discussions, evaluate architectural trade-offs, and work effectively across the payment-processing lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the vision, strategy, roadmap, and success measures for enterprise data products and platform capabilities.
- Understand consumer needs and translate business use cases into product requirements, data requirements, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
- Lead discovery and prioritization across business, product, risk, finance, operations, analytics, governance, and technology teams.
- Develop a detailed understanding of source data, including its meaning, structure, relationships, history, quality, and system-specific variations.
- Define modeling requirements such as data grain, keys, relationships, facts, dimensions, reference data, history, derived attributes, and sources of truth.
- Partner with data modelers and engineers to design standardized, reusable data products.
- Lead source-to-target mapping and ensure attributes are traceable to source fields and transformation rules.
- Define reconciliation and validation requirements covering completeness, accuracy, timeliness, historical coverage, coded values, and downstream usability.
- Shape platform capabilities for batch, file-based, streaming, API, and change-data-capture ingestion.
- Define requirements for file processing, schema validation, transformation, exception handling, incremental processing, monitoring, and reconciliation.
- Define how data is organized across raw, standardized, curated, semantic, and consumption layers.
- Shape governed data sharing through tables, files, APIs, events, streams, analytical products, and secure data-sharing mechanisms.
- Embed data quality, metadata, lineage, classification, privacy, security, access, and governance into product design.
- Apply payments knowledge across merchant, partner, authorization, settlement, refund, chargeback, pricing, risk, fraud, and revenue data.
- Communicate priorities, dependencies, risks, trade-offs, and outcomes to senior stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Significant product-management experience with enterprise data, data-platform, or similarly complex technical products.
- Experience defining product strategy, roadmaps, requirements, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, source-to-target mapping, reconciliation, validation, lineage, and data quality.
- Understanding of batch, streaming, file-based, API, and change-data-capture patterns.
- Knowledge of data lakes, lakehouses, cloud warehouses, transformation layers, orchestration, observability, and governed consumption.
- Working knowledge of AWS, Snowflake, Apache Iceberg, Kafka, dbt, and Airflow, or comparable technologies.
- Strong SQL proficiency for exploring data, validating mappings, and investigating anomalies.
- Strong knowledge of payment processing and the end-to-end transaction lifecycle.
- Experience with payment and processor data.
- Strong communication, prioritization, stakeholder-management, and influencing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with merchant acquiring or multiple payment processors.
- Experience modernizing fragmented or legacy data environments.
- Experience delivering data products for analytics, applications, risk, data science, or AI.
- Familiarity with PCI, sensitive-data handling, and regulated environments.
