If you’re a strong engineer with leadership experience and a passion for guiding people while still staying close to the tech, this role is your next big step. You’ll lead a talented engineering team, drive delivery of impactful projects, and help shape the way we build at Wemolo.

You’ll lead the “Driver team” that owns Wemolo's B2C product: everything a driver sees and touches when they park with us. The team's work reaches real people every day, and you'll see the effect of what you ship right away.

Our UI surfaces are very varied: We build web apps, and we also build user flows for terminals and screens running on edge devices out in the field. The team has its own designer, so UX and UI are a core part of the work. Because we're close to the customer, we work hand in hand with Product and Customer Success to understand what drivers need and to fix their problems quickly.

What to expect

• People Leadership: Lead and mentor the B2C team, building a culture of collaboration, ownership and learning

• Hands-on Guidance: Stay connected to the codebase and architecture (Python, React, TypeScript, Postgres, AWS Lambda) through hands-on work while supporting your team in making sound technical decisions.

• Project Delivery: Own planning and delivery across backend and frontend work, with a strong focus on quality

• Process Improvement: Implement and refine best practices in development, code review, and deployment to make us better every sprint.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product and Customer Success to turn driver feedback into product improvements

• Talent Development: Help your team grow their skills through coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.

Inspire us by

• Leadership Experience: 2+ years leading engineers (team lead, tech lead, or early-stage manager).

• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Python, Postgres, AWS (or GCP, Azure etc.)

• Project Execution: Proven ability to successfully deliver complex software projects in a client- or customer-facing team.

• UX Orientation: A real interest in user experience and in working closely with product and design

• People Skills: Passion for helping engineers grow and perform at their best.

• Strategic Awareness: Ability to balance technical excellence with product and business priorities.

• Communication: Able to explain complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

• Language Skills: ****Fluent in English (German a plus).

• Experience with AWS serverless architectures.

• Familiarity with Agile, OKRs, and modern engineering processes.
