Azure Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric / SSIS / SSRS, SQL

Location: NY 
Experience: 10+ Years
Contract: Long Term
Work Authorization: W2

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Azure Data Engineer with 10+ years of experience in enterprise data engineering, with strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, SSIS, and SSRS. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines, data integration solutions, and reporting platforms.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering / ETL
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric
  • Expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF)
  • Strong SSIS development and migration experience
  • Strong SSRS development and reporting experience
  • Advanced SQL Server / T-SQL
  • Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformation workflows
  • Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)
  • Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Experience with Fabric Data Factory, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and OneLake
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, dimensional modeling, and data warehousing
  • Experience migrating legacy SSIS/SSRS solutions to Azure/Fabric
  • Performance tuning of SQL queries, ETL processes, and data pipelines
  • Experience with data quality, validation, monitoring, and troubleshooting

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory
  • Develop and maintain complex SSIS packages for enterprise ETL processes
  • Design and maintain SSRS reports and dashboards
  • Build and manage Fabric Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, and Data Factory solutions
  • Develop complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions
  • Perform migration of on-premises data platforms and SSIS/SSRS workloads to Azure/Fabric
  • Optimize data pipelines and SQL workloads for performance and scalability
  • Work with business and technical teams to understand data requirements
  • Implement data quality, reconciliation, and validation processes
  • Troubleshoot production data pipelines, ETL jobs, and reporting issues
  • Follow best practices for security, governance, deployment, and monitoring
