Job Summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to support risk and compliance monitoring solutions. The candidate will gather and document business requirements, perform SQL-based data analysis, support model development, coordinate UAT, and collaborate with IT and business stakeholders across regions.

The ideal candidate should have experience in financial markets, trade lifecycles, compliance surveillance platforms, and Agile software development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
• Create Agile user stories, acceptance criteria, and proof-of-concept models.
• Analyze datasets using SQL to identify data gaps and coordinate remediation.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure solutions meet requirements.
• Apply Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices.
• Plan, write, and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Support model development for risk and compliance monitoring solutions.
• Develop project plans, track milestones, and escalate delivery risks.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives involving IT and business teams.
• Facilitate stakeholder communication across regions and roles.
• Identify and manage project risks and dependencies.
• Mentor junior Business Analysts and promote best practices.
• Support delivery in fast-paced, global environments.

Must-Have Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of Business Analyst experience, preferably in global organizations.
• Strong experience with:
  • SQL and relational databases
  • Data analysis and data quality assessment
  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Agile methodologies
  • Business and functional requirements
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Experience collaborating with IT, business, and international teams.
• Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of financial market trade lifecycles and asset classes:

• Understanding of compliance surveillance platforms and solutions, including:

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with IT project management and SDLC delivery.
• Knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
