Job Description

Data Analyst/ Process Improvement Analyst / Operational Efficiency Specialist

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid 4 days, Friday work from home)

Skills Preferred: Process Improvement, Root Cause Analysis, Data Analysis, Workflow Optimization, SQL (Preferred, not required)

About the Role

Are you the type of person who naturally asks Why? when encountering an inefficient process? Do you get frustrated by repetitive tasks and instinctively look for ways to automate or eliminate unnecessary work?

We are seeking a curious, highly analytical, and proactive Data Analyst/Process Improvement Analyst to help drive operational efficiency across our organization. This role is less about checking off a daily checklist and more about investigating underlying trends, diagnosing root causes, and implementing lasting improvements to how we work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Trend & Pattern Analysis: Analyze daily operational reports, closed ticket trends, and workflow metrics to isolate recurring issues and identify areas for efficiency gains.
  • Root-Cause Investigation: Dig below surface-level symptoms to uncover why problems occur and design sustainable, scalable solutions.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and eliminate manual, redundant, or inefficient tasks across operational workflows.
  • Unfamiliar Problem Solving: Research and resolve complex, novel, or ambiguous issues independently.
  • Documentation & Recommendations: Document process mapping, findings, workflow recommendations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal business teams to streamline processes and drive adoption of operational improvements.

Qualifications & Mindset

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated history or mindset focused on process improvement, operational support, or workflow optimization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clear, structured documentation.
  • High autonomy: comfortable taking ownership of problems and navigating ambiguity without constant supervision.
  • Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with data analysis tools or basic SQL is preferred (to query workflow data), but not required—the analytical mindset is what matters most.
