What You'll Be Doing:

  • Community-based support:  You will guide individuals as per their action plan, helping them reintegrate through practical activities, from housing and employment to mental health and social connections.
  • Collaboration: Your intervention may be part of a wider support package so collaborating with internal and external colleagues is a key part of the role.
  • Caseload management: You will manage multiple individuals, balancing their needs while keeping up with all the related admin.
  • Quality Recording: Keep thorough, up-to-date records of all your work on our IT systems, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks and progress is properly tracked.

We're Looking For:

  • Relationship Building: You're able to connect with people at all levels, engaging with key stakeholders within Probation and building relationships with Service Users in a way that's genuine, promotes a sense of trust and is non-judgmental, with particular attention to confidentiality and maintenance of boundaries.
  • Safeguarding awareness: You are supporting complex individuals at a challenging time in their lives and will need to be able to identify any safeguarding risks.
  • IT and Administrative skills: Keeping meticulous records of every interaction to measure client progress and ensure effective interventions.
  • Organisation: You can handle a busy caseload and stay on top of detailed records.
  • Resilience: This role can be challenging, and results may take time, but you are the kind of person who stays committed

Flexibility: You'll need to be comfortable with change, as referral flows change frequently

Whilst we welcome applications from those with lived experience, this role requires an enhanced DBS check and HMPPS EL1 vetting. Due to the time required to complete these checks, successful candidates will be offered a start date at least 6 weeks from the point of job offer.
