Role: Functional SAP EAM Architect – Utilities
Location: Remote with need-based travel to North Dakota (expenses covered).
Duration: 8+ months

Overview
Seeking a senior SAP EAM/PM Functional Architect with strong Utilities experience across Power, Gas, or Water. The role will lead functional architecture, blueprinting, configuration, and asset lifecycle optimization, serving as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. No hands-on coding required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business workshops, requirements gathering, blueprinting, and functional solution design.
• Configure SAP EAM/PM, including Technical Objects, Work Management, Preventive/Predictive and Breakdown Maintenance.
• Design Linear Asset Management (LAM) and Compatibility Units (CU) for utility assets and construction.
• Architect integrations with SAP IS-U, MM, CO, HR, GIS/ESRI, and Mobile Field Service platforms.
• Develop Functional Specifications and guide ABAP/Fiori teams on enhancements, interfaces, and reports.
• Drive end-to-end functional architecture and stakeholder alignment.

Required Qualifications

• 10–12+ years SAP experience, including 5+ years as a Functional/Lead Architect.
• At least 2 full-cycle SAP implementations in Utilities (Electric, Gas, or Water).
• Expert-level SAP EAM/PM configuration and strong LAM/asset hierarchy experience.
• Strong understanding of SAP IS-U Device/Work Management and EAM integration.
• Experience with GIS/ESRI integration and familiarity with S/4HANA Asset Management / SAP APM.
• Excellent executive-level communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
