Job Title: Datacenter Site Operations Lead

Location: Hillsboro, OR or Santa Clara, CA (Onsite, 5 days/week)

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview

 

Key Responsibilities

 
  • Manage and maintain visibility across datacenter infrastructure including power, cooling, rack utilization, capacity, and operational health
  • Establish and track operational KPIs and metrics to measure datacenter readiness, performance, and reliability
  • Validate operational readiness criteria alongside engineering, build, and operations teams
  • Serve as a liaison between infrastructure, operations, engineering, platform, facilities, and reliability teams
  • Audit operational governance processes and maintain infrastructure data accuracy
  • Develop and improve SOPs, operational standards, readiness processes, and reporting methodologies
  • Drive initiatives focused on operational excellence, monitoring improvements, and datacenter process optimization
  • Develop repeatable operational frameworks and standards that support global growth

Required Skills

 
  • 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise datacenter, cloud infrastructure, hyperscale environments, or high-density compute operations
  • Strong understanding of datacenter infrastructure: power systems, cooling systems, capacity management, rack and space utilization, infrastructure monitoring
  • Experience with DCIM platforms, datacenter asset management, and infrastructure data management
  • Experience developing and managing operational KPIs, governance processes, and systems of record
  • Experience supporting operational acceptance, production handoff, compliance, and audit readiness programs
  • Excellent communication, documentation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Datacenter Engineering, or equivalent experience

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting hyperscale or large-scale cloud infrastructure environments
  • Experience supporting compliance and infrastructure audit frameworks
  • Ability to influence technical and business stakeholders without direct authority
  • Strong systems-thinking approach with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement
  • Experience building scalable operational processes in rapidly growing environments

Location & Work Model

Onsite, 5 days/week — Hillsboro, OR or Santa Clara, CA
