The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) for loading and unloading shipping containers.
• Safely maneuver containers within the intermodal yard, including positioning them on railcars and trucks.
• Conduct pre and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage container movements efficiently.
• Maintain a secure working environment by adhering to strict safety protocols.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions, performing physically demanding tasks.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Prior experience operating heavy machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, with open availability.
• Basic communication skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively within a team.
