Scala Developer

Introduction:

This position is for a Scala Developer who will be responsible for working with Apache Flink, Java, and Scala to develop and maintain complex event-driven architecture systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial services and be able to work with enterprise-level systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Scala applications using Apache Flink
• Collaborate with team members to design and implement event-driven architecture systems
• Work with Kafka, Apache Flink, and Pulsar for data processing and streaming
• Understand and work with back-office systems in a financial environment
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high quality code
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in production systems

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• 5 years of experience in software development
• Proficiency in Scala programming language
• Solid Java background
• Experience with event-driven architecture
• Knowledge of Kafka, Apache Flink, and Pulsar
• Experience working with enterprise-level systems
• Understanding of financial services industry

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Plasma (Bank of America tool)
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
