HP Tandem / HP NonStop Developer

We are seeking an experienced HP Tandem / HP NonStop Developer to support and enhance high-availability enterprise applications and infrastructure. This onsite role involves production support, development, system monitoring, and troubleshooting within a fault-tolerant HP NonStop environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications on the HP NonStop platform.
• Provide production support, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Monitor platform performance, capacity, availability, and system health.
• Support backup, recovery, data replication, and disaster-recovery processes.
• Configure and support HP NonStop operating environment components and utilities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, application specifications, and support procedures.
• Work collaboratively with technical teams and business stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience with HP Tandem / HP NonStop development or administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Guardian, TACL, Pathway, Enscribe, and OSS.
• Programming experience with TAL and Enterprise COBOL.
• Experience with SQL/MX, TMF, FUP, and SCF.
• Unix shell scripting and text-processing tools experience.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP configuration, Expand, and secure file transfers.
• Experience supporting high-availability, transaction-processing, or mission-critical environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

• C or C++ development experience on HP NonStop.
• Experience with disaster recovery, business continuity, data replication, and performance tuning.
• Background supporting financial-services, payments, or other high-volume transaction systems.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
