Preferred: Dataplex, DLP, Analytics Hub, Looker, and public sector experience.

Cygnus Professionals Inc. is looking for a Senior Google Data Platform Engineer to lead source-domain data engineering delivery, build scalable streaming pipelines, and develop high-quality data models on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
Key Skills Required:
✅ Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow
✅ Python, Advanced SQL, Apache Beam
✅ Dataform or dbt, dimensional modeling, conformed dimensions
✅ Streaming pipelines, deduplication, event ordering, DLQ and replay
✅ Terraform, Git, CI/CD, data quality testing
✅ Dataplex, data governance, partitioning and clustering
✅ Technical leadership, code reviews, and mentoring engineers
What You’ll Do:
• Own end-to-end data engineering delivery for source domains.
• Build reliable streaming ingestion pipelines and curated data marts.
• Implement data quality checks, reconciliation, and governance controls.
• Lead a small engineering pod and collaborate with platform architects.
• Drive code quality, operational readiness, and production support.
