Senior HR Advisor

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an ambitious and commercially focused HR professional who is ready to take the next step in their career. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Senior HR Advisor looking to progress into an HR Business Partner role within a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role is fully site-based in Edinburgh, providing the opportunity to work closely with managers and employees in a highly visible and operationally focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Partnership

  • Partner with operational and functional leaders to support business objectives and drive organisational performance.
  • Provide commercially focused HR advice and guidance across all areas of the employee lifecycle.
  • Support the delivery of people plans aligned to business strategy and growth objectives.
  • Use HR data and insights to identify trends, recommend solutions, and improve business outcomes.

Employee Relations

  • Lead and manage a wide range of employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance management, and investigations.
  • Coach and develop managers to build confidence and capability in handling people matters

Leadership Support

  • Build credible and influential relationships with leaders across the business.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on leadership and people management best practice.
  • Support leaders in driving employee engagement and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience in a Senior HR Advisor or equivalent HR generalist position.
  • Strong employee relations experience with the confidence to manage complex cases independently.
  • Experience supporting operational stakeholders within a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Experience coaching and influencing managers at varying levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic and commercially focused approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience within manufacturing, industrial, engineering, FMCG, logistics, or another operationally driven environment.

In this role, you'll quickly establish yourself as a trusted partner to site leadership, confidently managing employee relations matters, influencing decision-making, and contributing to business performance. You'll demonstrate the capability to operate at HR Business Partner level while continuing to develop your strategic and commercial expertise.
