Nutanix Infrastructure Engineer

Technologies: Nutanix, Prism Central, Nutanix AHV, VMware vSphere, VMware ESXi, NSX, Network Segmentation, Firewall, Data Centre Infrastructure.

12-Month Contract Outside IR35 Brighton (3 Days Onsite - 2 days remote)

We are seeking an experienced Nutanix Infrastructure Engineer to support a major infrastructure transformation programme within a large utilities organisation.

The project involves introducing and deploying Nutanix across approximately six operational sites, while maintaining the existing VMware estate. The successful candidate will support the initial data centre deployment, implementation and ongoing operational management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure and implement Nutanix infrastructure across multiple sites.

  • Support the setup and configuration of the Nutanix data centre environment.

  • Manage and maintain Nutanix through Prism Central.

  • Provide ongoing operational support across Nutanix and VMware environments.

  • Support network segmentation, Zero Touch Framework and infrastructure security activities.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and produce detailed documentation of all work completed.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years' hands-on Nutanix experience.

  • Strong understanding of the wider Nutanix ecosystem, including Prism Central.

  • Experience with Nutanix AHV and data centre deployments.

  • Strong VMware vSphere and ESXi experience.

  • Experience with VMware NSX.

  • Understanding of network segmentation and infrastructure security.

  • Strong troubleshooting and technical documentation skills.

Desirable: Firewall configuration, network edge technologies and VMware-to-Nutanix migrations.

Contract Details

  • Duration: 12 months

  • IR35: Outside IR35

  • Location: Brighton 3 days onsite per week

  • Start: ASAP ideally Monday
