Staff Product Designer (StubHub, Inc., New York, NY)
Help shape how user experience work is carried out across multiple products by focusing on shared approaches, reusable solutions, and clear guidance that supports consistent outcomes over time. Connect user experience considerations with broader product and business goals by turning high level needs into clear experience principles and longer-term areas of focus. Define and maintain simple, practical ways of working for design teams, including how work is requested, prioritized, documented, and shared, so teams can collaborate more easily. Support large, multi-part design efforts by helping teams coordinate timing, dependencies, and scope across related areas of work. Work with partners to identify what success looks like for user experience, using product signals, testing results, and observed user behavior to understand whether designs are meeting expectations. Build and maintain shared design resources, such as internal tools, libraries, and prototyping setups, that make it easier for designers and engineers to work efficiently and reuse proven patterns. Explore, test, and adopt new tools and workflows, including AI supported design and research tools, to reduce repetitive effort and allow more time for thoughtful problem solving. Support designers’ growth by offering guidance, feedback, and hands-on examples that help build confidence, deepen skills, and explore areas of specialization. Provide input during product planning to help teams understand the user experience impact of priorities, sequencing, and tradeoffs, especially across connected products. Contribute to improving usability, accessibility, and consistency by reviewing work, sharing feedback, and identifying areas for refinement across products. Serve as a point of contact for experience related questions during planning and review discussions, helping ensure user needs are considered as decisions are made. Telecommuting may be permitted up to 2 days a week. When not telecommuting, must report to StubHub Inc. at 3 World Trade Center – 175 Greenwich Street, 59th Floor, New York, NY 10007. Salary: $250,000 - $325,000 per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, User Experience Design, or a related field, plus 5 years of professional experience as a Product Designer, Web Designer, or any occupation, job title, position performing digital and human centered design.
In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience, the employer will accept 7 years of professional experience as a Product Designer, Web Designer, or any occupation, job title, position performing digital and human centered design.
Must also have experience in the following: 5 years of professional experience designing user experiences across multiple platforms, including desktop web and mobile applications (including Android and iOS); 5 years of professional experience leveraging quantitative and qualitative research methods, including usability testing, analytics review, and user feedback, to inform and validate design decisions; 5 years of professional experience enhancing and iterating on existing digital products by identifying usability issues, proposing design improvements, and aligning solutions with user needs and product objectives; 5 years of professional experience collaborating cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, researchers, and stakeholders to define design requirements, establish priorities, and deliver high-quality product experiences; 5 years of professional experience defining and applying design systems, patterns, and standards to ensure consistency, scalability, and quality across digital products; 5 years of professional experience guiding and providing design feedback to other designers through critiques, reviews, and collaborative working sessions to support skill development and design quality; 3 years of professional experience utilizing design and prototyping tools (including Figma and Sketch) to create layouts, visual designs, interfaces, and interactive prototypes, and leveraging AI-assisted development tools (including Cursor) to build and test user flows; and 2 years of professional experience evaluating, integrating, and building AI-powered design tools and workflows, including AI-assisted prototyping platforms and AI-optimized design system architectures, to accelerate design-to-development velocity and enable team-wide adoption of emerging technologies.

The anticipated gross base pay range is below for this role. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub’s total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
