Job Description

Injection Process Technician (Direct Hire)

Location: Chattanooga, TN
Pay:
$36.14/hr
Schedule: 3rd Shift | 9:00 PM-5:30 AM
Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, or a related field preferred.

  • Additional training in robotics, injection molding, or manufacturing processes is a plus.


Experience Requirements

  • 3-5 years of injection molding or injection process technician experience preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of injection molding machines (IMM), mold changes, machine setup, and process troubleshooting.

  • Experience working with SAP, MATTEC, WILLE, or similar manufacturing systems.

  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

  • Experience following HSE standards, LOTO procedures, and manufacturing safety protocols.


Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment throughout a full shift.

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and working around production equipment.

  • Ability to perform mold changes, equipment adjustments, and machine setups safely.

  • Must be able to wear required PPE and follow all safety procedures.

  • Ability to respond quickly to production issues and work in a fast-paced environment.


Job Duties

  • Set up, start, stop, and adjust injection molding machines and ancillary equipment according to production requirements.

  • Perform mold and tool changeovers while following safety procedures and production schedules.

  • Support machine startups, process verification, initial part approvals, and quality documentation.

  • Monitor production operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and adherence to process standards.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine, tooling, and process-related issues.

  • Collect and enter production data into SAP, MATTEC, WILLE, and other manufacturing systems.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and structured problem-solving activities.

  • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and safety standards.

  • Work closely with Injection Process Engineers, operators, quality personnel, and maintenance teams to optimize production performance.

  • Maintain accurate production records and communicate equipment or process concerns promptly.
