Senior Developer/Lead - SmartCOMM Development

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Demonstrate a minimum of 8+ years of professional development experience, with at least 5 years of hands-on, practical experience in SmartCOMM development and implementation.
• Develop and maintain SmartCOMM templates, manage data model updates, configure Assembly Rules, and write efficient scripting solutions to meet business requirements.
• Possess strong technical knowledge of XML, XPath, and SmartCOMM Designer tools, applying this expertise to design and optimise document generation solutions.
• Apply solid understanding of SmartCOMM development best practices, including reusable template design, performance optimisation, and maintainable coding standards across all deliverables.
• Troubleshoot production issues proactively, support defect resolution processes, and implement preventative measures to minimise future occurrences.
• Work independently and collaboratively, analyse complex requirements, and deliver robust solutions with minimal supervision whilst maintaining high quality standards.
• Lead code reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the development team.
• Monitor and optimise template performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing enhancements to ensure efficient document generation at scale.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for templates, configurations, and solutions to support knowledge transfer and system maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including business analysts and quality assurance teams, to ensure solutions align with business objectives and technical requirements.
• Possess insurance domain knowledge, particularly in policy documents and related processes, which would be highly desirable for this role.
