What You'll Do
Lead affordable housing transactions involving 4% and 9% LIHTC allocations, tax-exempt bond financing, and multiple funding sources.
Manage client relationships and guide for-profit and nonprofit developers through the development process.
Draft, negotiate, and close limited partnership agreements, operating agreements, loan documents, and other complex financing instruments.
Structure transactions involving Section 42 LIHTC and Section 142 tax-exempt private activity bonds.
Supervise associates and paralegals, coordinate deal teams, and contribute to training and a collaborative practice.
Work with colleagues on the team's growth and broader reach.
What We're Looking For

Law firm experience and a record of independently managing transactions from engagement through closing.

Experience drafting and negotiating partnership agreements, operating agreements, and loan documents.
Strong client relationship skills, particularly with developers, and experience supervising legal professionals or managing deal teams.
Active bar license in good standing, with New York admission or willingness to obtain it.
Collaborative approach suited to a flat team structure; developer-side LIHTC experience and a portable book of business are valued.
Familiarity with HUD programs, GSE financing, or general partner and limited partner acquisitions is a plus.
