SEN Teacher

SEN Teacher | Shrewsbury, United Kingdom | Hybrid | £28 - £35 per hour

We are seeking passionate SEN Teachers and Tutors to join an impactful community dedicated to transforming the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. You will play a crucial role in providing tailored educational support within your local community.

The Role

• Provide in-person, remote, and hybrid tutoring in Maths, English, or Science to young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
• Work with pupils across KS1-KS5, referred by local authorities and schools.
• Plan and deliver flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring sessions.
• Report on lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress.
• Support learners with diverse needs, including Moderate, Severe, and Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties.

What You'll Need

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS).
• Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience, preferably with SEND/SEMH.
• Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
• Enhanced DBS check (facilitation available) and professional references.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.
• Based in the UK with the Right to Work.
