Dane Street is seeking experienced Board-Certified Toxicologists to join our growing team of expert clinical reviewers. In this role, you will apply your specialized toxicology expertise to conduct comprehensive reviews of clinical cases and provide objective, evidence-based medical advisory opinions.
This is a fully remote opportunity that allows you to customize your schedule while working as a 1099 independent contractor. The position is intended for physicians residing in Texas with appropriate Texas medical licensure.
Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing medical records, laboratory results, medication and substance exposure histories, toxicology reports, and relevant clinical documentation; preparing clear and concise clinical summaries; and responding to specific questions from clients related to toxicologic findings, diagnoses, treatment, causation, and medical care.
This role involves advisory medical record reviews only and does not involve peer-to-peer discussions, calls, or direct patient care.
Areas of Expertise
We are currently seeking professionals with expertise in:
- Medical toxicology
- Clinical toxicology and toxicologic evaluation
- Medication and substance exposures, including adverse drug events and poisonings
- Overdose and intoxication assessment
- Toxicology laboratory testing and interpretation
- Evaluation of poisoning, adverse drug reactions, and toxic exposures
- Emergency and acute-care toxicology
- Substance-related medical conditions
- Review of toxicology reports, laboratory results, medication records, and clinical documentation
- Assessment of the medical necessity and appropriateness of toxicology-related evaluation and treatment
- Evidence-based assessment of toxicologic diagnoses, treatment, and outcomes
- Review of causation and clinical relationships related to toxic exposures, when applicable

Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certification in Medical Toxicology or appropriate board certification with significant experience and expertise in toxicology
- Current, unrestricted Texas medical license
- Minimum of 5+ years of clinical experience in toxicology or a related clinical specialty
- Ability to attend all required orientation and training sessions
- Maintains appropriate credentialing, state licensure, board certification, and any other certifications required to perform the role
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to communicate findings clearly and objectively in written form
- Expertise in reviewing medical records, laboratory results, toxicology reports, medication records, and clinical documentation
- Ability to provide concise, well-supported, evidence-based clinical opinions
- Strong understanding of current clinical guidelines and evidence relevant to toxicologic conditions and treatment

This is a fully remote 1099 independent contractor opportunity for physicians who maintain an active, unrestricted Texas medical license.
