Job description
Position Title: Client & Employee/Consultant Specialist
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Employment Type: Fulltime
About the Role: We are looking for a seasoned professional who will take a seat at the management table and play an active part in shaping how the organization operates, grows, and serves its clients. This role suits someone who combines strong people judgment with business thinking: someone who can weigh competing priorities, make well-reasoned recommendations, and see decisions through to execution. You will be the connecting link between leadership, clients, employees, and consultants, making sure their needs, concerns, and feedback are understood at the management level and that leadership decisions are communicated and carried out effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Management Participation and Decision-Making
- Participate actively in management meetings and strategic discussions, contributing informed perspectives on people, clients, and operations.
- Analyze situations, evaluate options and risks, and present clear recommendations to leadership.
- Translate management decisions into actionable plans and follow up to ensure timely execution.
- Identify recurring issues and emerging trends across clients and consultants, and raise them proactively.
Business Development and Requirement Capture
- Stay alert to signals from consultants and employees about potential new business or additional requirements with any client manager.
- Proactively reach out to the relevant client managers to understand their needs, scope, timelines, and expectations.
- Capture these requirements clearly and bring them back to the organization, so the right teams can act on them quickly.
- Follow up on opportunities, keep the originating consultant or employee informed, and help convert leads into engagements.
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, handling communication and coordination with professionalism and care.
- Understand client expectations, resolve concerns promptly, and escalate matters that need management attention.
- Bring client feedback into leadership discussions so it informs business decisions.
Employee and Consultant Relations
- Be an approachable, discreet point of contact for employees and consultants on queries, concerns, and escalations.
- Resolve issues fairly and promptly, using sound judgment and sensitivity.
- Spot patterns in concerns and feedback, and recommend improvements to leadership.
Consultant Lifecycle Oversight
- Oversee end-to-end consultant onboarding and offboarding for a smooth, well-organized experience.
- Ensure all documentation, including agreements, records, and clearances, is complete, accurate, and compliant.
- Continuously improve the process where gaps or delays appear.
Policy, Governance, and Compliance
- Help define, review, and refine internal policies and procedures so they remain practical, consistent, and current.
- Coordinate compliance activities and ensure the organization meets its legal, contractual, and regulatory obligations.
- Maintain strong documentation standards and advise management on policy implications before decisions are finalized.
Internal Operations and Coordination
- Coordinate with internal teams to keep day-to-day operations aligned with management priorities.
- Ensure decisions are communicated clearly and followed through across functions.
Qualifications
Preferred
- MBA in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4-8 years of relevant experience, including exposure to management-level discussions and decision-making.
Skills and Attributes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with sound business judgment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with confidence engaging senior leadership and clients.
- Relationship-building and business acumen, with the initiative to identify and pursue new opportunities.
- High level of discretion and integrity with sensitive and confidential matters.
- Working knowledge of employment practices, compliance requirements, and documentation standards.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to balance business priorities with people considerations while managing multiple stakeholders.
