AI Engineer (Voice & Language Translation)

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer to lead the development and enhancement of a specialized AI powered translation solution designed to improve communication and accessibility across a large retail environment. This role will focus on building intelligent language capabilities that deliver accurate, context aware translations while incorporating industry specific terminology and business language standards.

The ideal candidate will combine expertise in artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and large language models to create high quality multilingual solutions. You will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, optimize translation workflows, and continuously improve translation accuracy through testing, evaluation, and model refinement.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AI powered translation solutions that support accurate English to Spanish language conversion

• Build and enhance domain specific translation libraries that incorporate industry terminology, product language, and business specific vocabulary

• Develop and optimize translation workflows using Large Language Models and modern AI technologies

• Create and refine prompts to improve translation quality, consistency, and contextual accuracy

• Evaluate translation performance through testing, validation, and continuous optimization efforts

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to establish and maintain terminology standards and translation governance

• Implement speech to text and text to speech capabilities to support broader language enablement initiatives

• Research emerging AI and NLP technologies and recommend improvements to existing translation capabilities

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, NLP Engineer, or related technical role

• Strong hands on development experience with Java and enterprise application development

• Proven experience working with Large Language Models and AI driven language technologies

• Deep understanding of Natural Language Processing concepts, techniques, and frameworks

• Experience developing and supporting AI translation solutions and multilingual language processing applications

• Knowledge of speech to text and text to speech technologies and related AI platforms

• Experience with prompt engineering, terminology management, model optimization, and translation quality improvement

• Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building domain specific translation libraries, glossaries, or language models

• Familiarity with retail, ecommerce, merchandising, or customer experience environments

• Experience improving translation accuracy and consistency within enterprise AI applications

• Knowledge of AI model evaluation methodologies and performance measurement techniques

• Experience integrating AI solutions into large scale enterprise systems and workflows

• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
