Mechanic

Arconic is currently in search of Mechanics to join our Rolled Products North America (RPNA), business unit in Alcoa, TN. Arconic’s Tennessee Operations, is one of the most modern aluminum fabricating facilities in the world. Our plants produce high-quality molten metal and aluminum sheet and are recognized as a world leader in the business. The Mechanic will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of heavy industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Read basic mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints to troubleshoot equipment.
• Create job kits for maintenance jobs including repairs, new equipment installation, and preventative maintenance.
• Repair and maintain piping systems (pneumatic, hydraulic, gas)
• Responsible for hot work and rigging.
• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
• Ability to work at heights
• Adhere to all safety procedures and state and federal regulations.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools, measuring devices, and test equipment.
• Follow instructions and respond to management direction.
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
• Exercise strong communication skills and being a good team player.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Provide improvement suggestions to increase quality, production, and safety.
