Senior Network Engineer Lead a major network migration for core banking technology!

FinXL is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading banking client on a core-banking application migration project. In this key role, you will design, implement, and hand over critical networking constructs to support large-scale migration phases. FinXL is also able to take over existing visas and provide sponsorship for consultants.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure complex networking constructs across Cisco ASA and ACI.
• Translate high-level design specifications into concrete firewall configurations.
• Execute passive and canary deployments and validate rule sets.
• Configure and manage F5 GTM and LTM appliances for traffic distribution.
• Prepare and execute rigorous change control and rollback procedures.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery compliance via F5 integration.
• Monitor post-deployment performance and maintain documentation for handover.

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco ASA, Cisco ACI, and APIC environments.
• Proven track record in enterprise firewall policy deployment and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in configuring and supporting F5 GTM and LTM appliances.
• Solid understanding of network capacity planning and performance monitoring.
• CCNP / CCIE or equivalent industry certifications are highly regarded.
• Experience working within large-scale migration or data centre projects.
• Familiarity with foundational automation tools like Python, Ansible, or Terraform is highly desirable.
