Job Description
Agensys is seeking an experienced Network Performance Engineer with deep expertise in Netscout technologies to join its Denver-based infrastructure team. This role is critical to maintaining the health and performance of the enterprise network while designing and implementing advanced dashboards that provide real-time visibility into network performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, support, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure using Netscout nGeniusONE and InfiniStream
- Serve as the Netscout SME, providing Tier 2/3 support for network performance incidents
- Identify and resolve network anomalies, packet loss, latency, and application performance issues
- Partner with NOC, network engineering, and application teams to perform root cause analysis
- Maintain and optimize Netscout probe and appliance deployments
- Support change management and validate network changes with performance analysis
- Design and maintain real-time performance dashboards
- Develop custom reports, alerts, and visualizations to proactively identify trends and capacity concerns
- Participate in capacity planning, documentation, and on-call support activities Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on Netscout experience (nGeniusONE, InfiniStream, nGenius Pulse, or ASI)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS, and VLANs
- Experience with packet capture analysis and deep packet inspection (DPI)
- Ability to design and implement network performance dashboards
- Experience troubleshooting Layer 2-7 issues in large enterprise or service provider environments
- Knowledge of SNMP, NetFlow/IPFIX, and syslog integrations
- Strong communication and analytical skills Nice to Have:
- Cable, telecom, or ISP/MSO experience
- SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, Grafana, or AppDynamics
- Python, Ansible, or Bash scripting
- Cisco CCNP / CCIE
- SD-WAN, AWS/Azure networking, or hybrid cloud experience
- ServiceNow and ITIL familiarity
