Job Description

Role: Network Security Administrator
Duration: ​09/01/2026 - 06/30/2027
Location: Denver, CO - Remote from Colorado only
***Note: Candidates must reside in Colorado

The objective of this engagement is to provide specialized network and cyber Security administration support to ensure state agencies maintain secure, compliant, and modern network infrastructures. ​his role focuses on the mitigation of operational challenges, hardware lifecycles, and the execution of critical security requests.

Responsibilities:

Review and execution of Firewall Service Requests (FSRs), break-fix tickets, and formal change requests.
Infrastructure Modernization: Facilitating the decommissioning and "refresh" of End-of-Life (EOL) hardware on a recurring basis.
Compliance Maintenance: Implementing security controls and configurations to ensure agencies remain in alignment with IRS, FBI, and CJI compliance standards.
Hardware Administration: Technical configuration and management of Cisco ASA and Palo Alto firewalls.

Technical Qualifications

Palo Alto Firewalls: Next-generation firewall features such as, Zones, security policies, S2S VPN, Natting, and basic threat prevention
Cisco ASA Firewalls: Configuration, troubleshooting, and rule management.
General Networking: foundational knowledge of routing protocols, subnetting, OSI model ETC.
