Role Summary
This position serves as a technical lead for enterprise applications supporting systems engineering and engineering operations. The role involves building, deploying, integrating, and maintaining critical engineering software solutions that enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency. Collaborating closely with systems engineers and program teams, the individual will ensure the delivery of reliable, secure, and scalable applications, while driving continuous improvement and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve application and server issues.
- Triage server and application outages to minimize downtime and ensure operational stability.
- Support deployment of software products, ensuring smooth and efficient implementation processes.
- Perform security patches, system updates, and platform maintenance to uphold security standards.
- Develop automated processes and scripts to accelerate release cycles and improve operational efficiency.
- Create comprehensive documentation, guidance, and standard procedures for engineering applications.
- Assist in integration of new tools and systems into existing engineering workflows.
- Participate in security and compliance audits related to enterprise applications.
- Support ongoing system monitoring, performance tuning, and incident response activities.
- Contribute to process improvements aligned with LEAN practices and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Linux and Windows server administration.
- General cloud platform experience, with a preference for AWS.
- Proficiency in scripting languages including Bash and PowerShell.
- Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) via tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrated teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with ITIL support operations at L3 or L4 level.
- Knowledge of IBM tools, networking, and architecture diagramming is a plus.
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, and RedHat OpenShift is desirable.
- Understanding of agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban is advantageous.
- Availability to work remotely from an approved location.

Publishing Pay Range: $65.00 - $75.00 USD Hourly
This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
