Job Description
As a Revit Plumbing Detailer, you will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models of plumbing systems using Revit. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and other team members to ensure accurate and efficient designs. Your role will involve interpreting technical specifications, addressing design issues, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
This critical role seeks to utilize the highest levels of technology, construction knowledge and standards to produce high quality 2D and 3D construction documents to increase efficiency and reduce cost.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create detailed 3D models of plumbing systems using Revit.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other team members to meet project requirements.
- Interpret blueprints, plumbing and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and other technical specifications.
- Address and resolve design issues within the Revit environment.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Conduct site visits to gather data and verify conditions for accurate modeling.
- Prepare material take-offs and bills of materials.
- Communicate design concepts and updates effectively.
- Proficiency in Revit for creating detailed 3D models of plumbing systems.
- Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes.
- Familiarity with piping design principles, including system layouts and components.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawings and models.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Problem-solving skills to address and resolve design issues.
- Understanding of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
- Field experience with site visits to gather data and verify conditions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements
This job requires the ability to work at a desk with computer equipment for prolonged periods of time. Eye-hand coordination and sustained focus are essential.
