Located in the heart of Virginia Beach, Delta Virginia Beach Suites offers an exciting blend of coastal hospitality, spacious accommodations, and an engaging guest experience just steps from the energy of the Virginia Beach oceanfront. As a key member of the hotel’s leadership team, the Director of Finance will have the opportunity to help shape the financial success of this vibrant property while partnering with leaders across the operation. Financial Leadership
Ensures timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Serve as a key member of the hotel executive team, advising the General Manager and department heads on financial matters.
Manage AP, AR, Payroll, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
Accounting & Compliance
Ensure compliance with company policies, local laws, and hotel brand standards.
Completes day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL, payroll, and cash management.
Maintain strong internal controls and ensure accurate financial records.
Liaise with corporate external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
Strategic Planning
Partner with the General Manager to develop and execute the hotel’s business strategy.
Drive cost control initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, MBA, or equivalent preferred).
Minimum 5+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, hospitality accounting standards, and financial systems (Birchstreet, Profitsword, Ultipro, Opera PMS, Toast).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Adobe.
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
