The Role

• Interpret engineering drawings, prepare materials using cutting and grinding methods.
• Assemble and tack-weld ship structures, ensuring precise fitting and fairing.
• Fabricate various ship components, including seating, flooring, doors, and panels.
• Form materials using machine tools like rolling, flanging, and cutting equipment.

What You'll Need

• Hold a Modern Apprenticeship certificate (Trade Papers) and relevant mechanical qualifications (e.g., SVQ3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
• Demonstrate up-to-date fabrication knowledge and hands-on experience in construction or manufacturing.
• Proficiently operate oxy-fuel and/or plasma cutting equipment.
• Understand and apply core manufacturing processes to required safety and quality standards.
• Adhere to SHE principles, risk assessment requirements, and work safely in confined spaces or at height.
