POSITION DESCRIPTION
St. Catherine's School is an Episcopal day school in Richmond, Virginia, founded in 1890 enrolling roughly 950 girls age 3 through grade 12. POSITION OVERVIEW
St. Catherine’s School seeks coaches at the JV and Middle School levels to join a very established program with the help and support of our Varsity staff.
We have both head and assistant coach positions available. Typical practice times are from 3:45 pm - 5:30 pm on weekdays. The season runs from late-February through early May.

Position Status: Salaried, exempt, temporary – based on seasonal sport
Hours of Work: Typical practice times are from 3:45 pm - 5:30 pm on weekdays
Expected Salary Range: $2,500 - $3,500 based on position
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, organize, and lead effective lacrosse practices, training sessions, and competitions that support the development of student-athletes
- Teach and reinforce fundamental lacrosse skills, game strategies, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a strong understanding of the game
- Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, team activities, and travel in accordance with School policies and safety expectations
- Create a positive, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate team environment that reflects the School’s mission and values
- Prepare and manage practice plans, game strategies, lineups, and other team-related activities.
- Set a tone of professionalism among coaches, athletes, and parents

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to grasp, handle and feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl; talk and hear; engage in moderately strenuous physical activity both indoors and out; and smell. The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to become CPR and First Aid Certified.
TRAVEL
Limited sports-related travel may be needed.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Have lacrosse playing and/or coaching experience
