Senior SAP Functional Consultant - Warehouse Management (WM/EWM)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior SAP WM/EWM Functional Consultant to support an ECC to S/4HANA conversion project, contributing from discovery through hypercare. A critical aspect of this role is assessing the client’s current SAP WM footprint and determining the migration path to S/4HANA — either to embedded EWM in S/4HANA or to decentralized EWM — given that classic WM is deprecated in S/4HANA 2027. The ideal candidate has experience executing this transition and deep hands-on knowledge of both WM and EWM.

Required Qualifications

•       Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

•       7+ years hands-on SAP WM and/or EWM functional consulting experience.

•       Minimum 2 full-lifecycle ECC to S/4HANA projects involving WM-to-EWM migration in a lead WM/EWM role.

•       Deep knowledge of both classic SAP WM and SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), including the structural and functional differences between them.

•       Experience assessing and executing the migration from classic WM to embedded or decentralized EWM in S/4HANA.

•       Hands-on experience with warehouse master data and stock migration using SAP Migration Cockpit or custom migration tools.

•       Strong understanding of EWM integration with MM, SD, PP, and QM in an S/4HANA environment.

•       Experience with SAP Activate methodology.

•       Proficiency writing functional specifications; ability to collaborate with ABAP developers on RICEFW and RF framework enhancements.

•       Strong communication skills; ability to work with warehouse floor users and operations leadership alike.

Preferred Qualifications

•       SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP Extended Warehouse Management with SAP S/4HANA (current version preferred).

•       Experience with decentralized EWM (decentral EWM connected to S/4HANA via CIF or qRFC).

•       Familiarity with SAP Transportation Management (TM) integration with EWM.

•       Experience with warehouse automation integrations (conveyor systems, WCS, goods-to-person systems) via EWM interfaces.

•       Experience with SAP Labor Management or Slotting in EWM.

•       Prior consulting experience in a project delivery model with a system integrator.
