Data Engineer

Data Engineer Consulting Opportunity in NYC (hybrid, in office 3 days a week)

The qualified candidate must have experience/skills in the following areas:

• 5+ years of experience working as a Software Engineer, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment
• Python/Web frameworks
• SQL / MySQL
• RDBMS and database design
• AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, SQS)
• Kubernetes, Istio, ArgoCD
• Unit/functional testing
• Linux/UNIX
• API design and implementation
• Comfortable working with stakeholders outside the Engineering team, including Product, Sales, and Account Management teams
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering
• Self-starter, but very comfortable working closely with a team

Nice to have skills include:

• Python/MySQL experience
• SQL performance tuning
• Microservice architecture
• Kafka / Celery / Flask / Django / Supervisor / MongoDB
• DevOps experience
• Jira or other project management tools
• Java
• Postgres
