Quick Overview
Job Description
Are you the kind of HSE leader who believes that the best safety cultures are built through engagement, not enforcement?
We're looking for an experienced HSE Manager to lead Health, Safety and Environmental performance at our Bath campus. This role is about far more than compliance. We're seeking someone who can influence, coach and inspire people at every level of the organisation, helping us embed a culture where safety, wellbeing and sustainability are part of everyday decision making.
Working closely with site leadership and Group Health and Safety, you'll take group-wide HSE strategies and turn it into practical actions that make a real difference on the ground. From developing training, managing ISO systems, and supporting energy reduction initiatives, you'll be at the centre of our continuous improvement journey.
You'll be joining a manufacturing environment where your ability to build relationships, challenge constructively and engage teams will be just as important as your technical expertise.
Required Experience
- Experience leading Health, Safety and Environmental programmes within a manufacturing environment.
- A track record of driving positive behavioural and cultural change.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ideally ISO 50001.
- Experience managing audits, legal compliance and management systems.
- NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma (or equivalent), or currently working towards completion.
- IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management.
- ISO Lead Auditor qualification.
The successful candidate
- Able to influence and communicate to a range of stakeholders, including senior leaders.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to constructively resolve problems.
- Be able to coach and lead non reporting teams through change.
Why this role?
This is an opportunity to take ownership of the HSE agenda at a key site within a global organisation. You'll have the autonomy to shape programmes, influence culture, support operational excellence and make a visible impact on employee wellbeing and environmental performance.
If you're a hands-on HSE leader with the passion to create safer workplaces and drive meaningful change, we'd love to hear from you.
