Job Title: Senior Python Full-Stack Developer (AI)

Overview
We are seeking a Senior Python Full-Stack Developer with strong experience integrating AI/ML (especially LLMs) into production web applications. You will lead end-to-end solution development across backend, frontend, and AI services, owning architecture, implementation, performance, and security.
The selected candidate will design and build scalable Python services and modern web UIs, while embedding AI capabilities such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), semantic search, and agentic workflows. The role includes mentoring engineers, establishing best practices, and partnering with Product and Data Science teams to deliver reliable, secure, and cost-effective AI-enabled solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Delivery
Own the architecture of Python microservices/APIs and modern SPA frontends.
Translate product requirements into scalable, testable designs and roadmaps.
Backend (Python)
Build REST/GraphQL APIs using FastAPI or Django; implement async patterns where appropriate.
Design data models and integrations with SQL/NoSQL, caches, queues, and search.
Frontend (Web)
Develop responsive, accessible UIs with React (or Vue/Angular) and TypeScript.
Integrate real-time interactions, state management, and API error handling.
AI/ML Integration
Implement LLM-powered features including RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector stores, and prompt orchestration.
Integrate with model providers such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, and open-source models via Hugging Face.
Establish evaluation, guardrails, and observability for AI features (quality, latency, cost).
Data & MLOps Collaboration
Partner with Data/ML teams on model selection, fine-tuning strategies (e.g., LoRA), and model serving.
Productionize pipelines for retrieval, chunking, embeddings, and caching.
Reliability, Security & Performance
Implement CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, and performance monitoring.
Enforce security best practices (OAuth/OIDC, OWASP, secrets management, PII/PHI protection, data residency).
Optimize latency, throughput, and token/cost efficiency for AI calls.
Leadership & Collaboration
Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices.
Collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality AI-powered applications.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of professional software engineering experience with significant Python backend experience.
Strong expertise in FastAPI or Django, asynchronous Python, and REST/GraphQL API design.
Proficient in modern frontend development (React + TypeScript preferred), component patterns, and state management.
Hands-on with AI/LLM Integrations
Experience with prompt design and orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, or equivalent).
Hands-on experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, and vector databases.
Experience managing model providers, API quotas, latency optimization, and fallback strategies.
Data & Infrastructure
Strong knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and one or more NoSQL/Cache/Search technologies (e.g., MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch).
Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, along with Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
Quality & Security
Experience with testing at multiple levels (unit, integration, end-to-end), performance profiling, and observability.
Knowledge of secure coding practices and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR).
Soft Skills
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills in cross-functional teams.
Ability to break down ambiguous problems and deliver solutions iteratively.
