Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Finance & Accounting Lead / Manager with strong corporate finance experience and a deep understanding of capital expenditures (CapEx), operating expenditures (OpEx), capitalization, and depreciation. The ideal candidate will partner closely with finance teams and business stakeholders to optimize P&L performance, drive accurate financial reporting, and provide guidance on asset capitalization and depreciation.

This role requires strong business partnership, communication, analytical, and presentation skills, along with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute capitalization and depreciation activities across multiple business units.

• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of CapEx and OpEx classification to support P&L optimization and accurate financial reporting.

• Partner with finance teams and business stakeholders to ensure appropriate capitalization and depreciation practices.

• Develop training materials and educational resources related to capitalization and depreciation for business partners.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with finance teams, business partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Present financial insights, recommendations, and complex accounting concepts clearly to senior leadership.

• Proactively identify financial and accounting issues and present both the problem and recommended solution.

• Work effectively with incomplete information and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

• Ensure financial activities are accurate, well-organized, and completed with strong attention to detail.

• Support continuous improvement of finance and accounting processes.

• Leverage advanced Excel capabilities for financial analysis, reporting, and data management.

• Utilize Tableau for financial reporting and data visualization, where applicable.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of corporate finance experience.

• Strong understanding of CapEx, OpEx, capitalization, and depreciation.

• Experience leading or executing capitalization and depreciation activities across multiple business units.

• Strong financial analysis and P&L understanding.

• Excellent Excel skills.

• Strong business partnership and stakeholder management abilities.

• Excellent written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Comfortable working with ambiguity and incomplete information.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization/reporting tools.

• Experience developing finance/accounting training materials.

• Experience working in large, complex corporate environments with multiple business units.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

Work Arrangement

• Hybrid position requiring 3 days per week onsite in Sunnyvale or Cupertino, CA.
