About the Role
As an On-site Calibration Engineer at Trescal, you will be responsible for performing calibration and measurement activities at customer locations, ensuring all work is completed in line with UKAS and ISO 17025 procedures, as well as customer-specific requirements. You will work across a range of disciplines, including dimensional, mechanical, electrical, temperature, pressure, and mass calibration (non-exhaustive list). Your duties will include:
- Carrying out on-site calibration of measuring equipment using approved procedures and best metrology practice
- Maintaining accurate, traceable, and auditable records of work, data, and results
- Ensuring all calibration certificates and documentation are completed to the highest standard
- Liaising with customers to provide technical support and resolve queries professionally
- Supporting internal and external audits as required
- Adhering to Company Health and Safety procedures and policies at all times
- Participating in continuous improvement activities and supporting operational efficiency projects
- Occasionally undertaking other reasonable duties within your capability, with training provided where necessary

Requirements
- Technical qualification such as HNC, HND, NVQ/BTEC Level 3 or above in Engineering or a related field
- Previous experience working in calibration, preferably within a laboratory or on-site environment
- Good understanding of calibration practices, theories, and relevant standards (e.g., ISO 17025, UKAS procedures)
- Knowledge of Windows-based operating systems; experience with calibration software (e.g., Indysoft) is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate records and certificates
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload on customer sites
