Job description

SAP QM Master Data Specialist

Role Overview

Seeking a hands-on SAP QM Master Data Engineer with 5+ years of experience managing quality master data in a manufacturing environment. Strong expertise in inspection plans, Master Inspection Characteristics (MICs), sampling procedures, and QM material master data is required. SAP S/4HANA experience is preferred; SAP EHS knowledge is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and govern SAP QM master data, including inspection plans, MICs, sampling procedures, and QM material master views.

  • Troubleshoot inspection lot creation, sampling logic, usage decisions, and quality workflow issues.

  • Conduct master data audits, resolve data inconsistencies, and implement corrective actions.

  • Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and quality process improvements.

  • Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and IT teams to ensure data accuracy and traceability.

  • Analyze inspection results and defect trends to improve quality processes.

  • Support SAP S/4HANA QM enhancements, interfaces, and master data governance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of hands-on SAP QM master data experience.

  • Strong knowledge of inspection plans, MICs, sampling procedures, and QM material master views.

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

  • SAP S/4HANA QM experience and SAP QM training or certification.

  • SAP EHS master data knowledge.

  • Experience in regulated manufacturing, such as aerospace, defense, medical device, or healthcare.

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or ISO 13485.
